Alright, so I received the Full Tuition scholarship from UPitt today. And although I'm really excited, my parents and I did have a big question. I was given conditional acceptance to Pharmacy School (if I keep a certain GPA I can get into the program without a lot of the hoops normal applicants jump through). Now the letter said that the scholarship was for four years, but the pre-pharmacy program (the undergrad education) is only 2 years. Does this mean I will be given full tuition for the first two years of Pharmacy school? If so, then this is an amazing deal, but if not my full tuition scholarship just got cut in half :-(

My son received the full tuition scholarship and according to the information sheet -- it is for four years of undergraduate studies. There is a provision for an extra year but I can't recall exactly what it entailed (the info was in the honors college packet). I would think they would give you the four years since you don't graduate from Pitt after only two years! Call or email them for further clarification.

The full-tuition scholarship is usually for eight semesters. I don't understand how the pharmacy school at Pitt works, but why wouldn't you be able to use all eight semesters of your scholarship? And congrats, by the way.

And I agree with MTnest that if you have any questions, just pick up the phone and call Pitt. I have always had good results when phoning.

Hey guys, ac couple of questions
Do you have to apply to get into the honors college? I indicated that I wanted to get into the honors college on my application and when I recieved my acceptance letter, there was nothing about the honors college. And how do you go about applying for the full scholorship? Thanks for replying!

a Merci, so when can I expect to get a decision back on either the honors college or the scholarship?? I know it's a slightly arbritrary question however i'm hoping someone out their knows the answer =]

I only know that the honors/acceptance to Pitt arrived at the same time for my son. His scholarship letter arrived a few weeks later followed by the scholarship offer from the engineering dept.

I don't believe they send you a letter saying you will not receive a scholarship or honors college. You can still take honors courses even if you don't get into the Honors College.
