So how important are they...

Here's the deal: I'm planning on applying ED to a top-15 (some would argue more top-20-worthy) university. It doesn't require (and in fact, doesn't even "recommend") SAT subject tests; the undergraduate admissions website simply says that "if you do take them and submit your scores, we will only consider them if they strengthen your application."

I have a 35 single-sitting ACT score (35 E, 35 M, 34 R, 35 S, 11 W) as well as 5's on my AP Biology, Microeconomics, U.S. Government, and U.S. History exams. My unweighted GPA is 4.00 (straight A's) and my weighted GPA out of 5.00 is 5.80. I have been enrolled in all honors classes since freshman year and have taken/will have taken virtually every AP class my school offers.

Assuming my EC's, recommendations, and essays are considered competitive for a school of this caliber, how much would not submitting SAT II's make or break my application? I haven't taken any yet and don't really plan on doing so either. Is this a huge mistake?

Not having Subject Test scores shouldn’t hurt you. Good luck with applications!
