I know that CollegeBoard says I think 3-5 weeks or something, that seems like a lot. I talked to an admissions person at University of Washington who said sometimes they receive them in a week and that I shouldn’t rush them because it’s a waste of money. So how long do they usually take???

UW got my scores two days after I recieved them online. :)

If you send them when you take the SAT then it's about 4 weeks. If you order a score report it's about 2, I think.

IF you ordered them when you signed up for SAT, it's pretty quick from my experience.

Umm no it usually doesn't take 4 weeks...well it does for the written one, but they are able to receive them electronically a lot sooner. Cornell got my SAT II scores the same day I checked them online, 13 days after I took them...even though collegeboard claimed it would take 4-6 wks...LIARS!!

I don't think they're liars, they just want to make sure that they overestimate so that kids won't get mad when their scores aren't mailed soon enough.

lol, i was being somewhat sarcastic, no need to state the obvious

WOW... Good news... LOL Great post. I was worried that my college wouldn't recieve it in time. Now, if I'm lucky, I'll know by the 15th... ahhh!

The scores are sent in batches, so a college could get them in a few days, or up to a month later. It depends on where the cycle hits.

There is also a difference in whether a school gets scores electronically or on paper. The e-scores may be more infrequent, but are processed faster once received by the school.

I think I'd agree with midwesterner. My friend said he saw his scores on the college's application website (check the status) before they were actually released online (usually on a friday two weeks after test date). So he found out about 3-4 days earlier.
