So the week before the academic decathlon competition, I signed a contract saying I would pay $200 worth of pizza if I didn't score 7,500. I got 6,100. Nobody else made a contract and I had the 4th highest score on the team...

Should I even keep my word or just tell everyone to screw off since they didn't do better than me?

Also, there's this one D-Bag who began cheering for me to fail right after I made the contract, and cheered really loudly when I did. He's really enthusiastic about free pizza for some reason. He's been getting on my nerves the entire year... Should I buy for him or tell him to buy his own food? Or is excluding people bad even if they are total tools?

^I think the question is actually - “How much can I ■■■■■ these people on HSL?”
I could be wrong. But all his recent thread have had a pretty strong ‘■■■■■’ smell.

If you pay, you might learn the consequences of a bad bet. If it was just a joke, then it would have been alright not to pay, but since you did sign a contract… Pay up.

Also, make a better bet next time. Or don’t bet at all =P

If you can find some good coupons - you could get $200 worth of pizza for a good deal less than $200! This would be one way of keeping your word.

“Worth” is a funny word. Tons of modern day products are “worth” more than we pay, in the sense that if the materials had been bought at a fair price and the workers paid a fair wage, they would be more expensive.

Many schemes come to mind, but they would only work if these were your friends. The one chanting for you to lose is an ass, but you never should have signed a contract.

If they’re just a bunch of asses, give them their pizza, but make it ****ty by adding something terrible.

If the contract was serious, pay up. I’d advise getting the pizzas one at a time or from different places so you can use a bunch of coupons though. And get the one kid who cheered against you his own disgusting pizza.

I can’t tell if it’s serious; that’s the thing. I signed a contract to motivate myself to do well saying that I would pay $200 of pizza if I didn’t get a certain score. I kind of knew that I could cop out when I signed it.

So was this a joke or do I actually have to pay? And that one kid will probably eat anything. I don’t want to exclude anyone, but everyone else besides him was supportive. He’s a D-Bag.

How the f*** do we know if it was a joke? Honestly they can’t force you to pay; it’s not like they’ll sue you over $200 worth of pizza. Then again, do you want to be seen as someone who makes promises and then breaks them?
