I have to spend $400~500 for a dance?? (food, limo, prom ticket, tux, etc...)

seriously... I get it's the last dance, but I can't stop thinking that it's a bit overdoing

That’s why I’m NOT going to prom. :)

Why do AP tests have to be so expensive? I have to spend $525 to take tests?

That’s unfortunate though.

I think standardized tests should be government organized, so that it’s free

We’re talking about prom, not standardized testing you nerds.

lol jk.

kinda.

no, not really actually.

ok fine, yes i am.

You don’t have to go

…my AP tests are $86/test :(.

And yeah, that’s why I’d prefer not to go to prom.
Also because I don’t see the point in spending time in a room with hundreds of people I don’t know, and watching them grind on each other (I’m too awkward to even dance, so…). I’d rather more personal time with people I’ll actually miss when high school is over!

Doesn’t have to be.

I paid for: tickets, dinner, tux rental, dress.

Paid ~$200.
Tickets=$100
Dinner=$30
Tux=$60ish
Dress=$10

Had shoes, did my makeup, friend did my hair. Who needs a limo? I wasn’t drinking, no limo needed.

My AP tests were $100 a pop.

I only paid 8 bucks for one of my AP. Lol

you did not count limo

normally, you pay for your date’s food (i’m talking as a guy)

sometimes you even pay your date’s ticket.

I didn’t take a limo. It’s not REQUIRED.

I did pay for my date’s food (I’m talking as a female). 4 star restaurants are not required.

I did pay for my date’s ticket (they were $50 a piece).

AP Tests > Prom. That’s life. Mk.

AP tests: My school has them for 86 bucks a test, but the neighboring school sells them for 200.

Prom: Apparently, if your class fund raises a ton, you can cut down on your prom spending. Our class holds restaurant fund raisers every other week, but no one goes. They’re threatening that we’ll hold prom in the gym and make us pay 200 bucks a piece.

Fairy_dreams, would you be able to show chocolatebanana your FB page?

You paid for your BOY date? Guys pay. Not girls.

but i’ll sure love a girl who’ll pay for me :p

Just don’t go. Prom is pretty pointless anyways.

Guess not all the time.

Yah, I paid for my fiance. I was working at the time- he was not. He pays when he’s working, I pay when I’m working. It’s called a partnership. Heard of it? We’re EQUAL- neither of us pays more.

^ makes sense I guess

^ codify…
