I had 2 honors projects due this last semester to complete my TAP program with UCLA. I turned in my poli sci honors project on final day. it contained 9 pages and 1 page of works cited. My professor said that it wasn't enough. She said it had to be around 10-15 pages, and I haven't met with her that much so she had to give me "incomplete." I was like ***... I told her I could add 1-2 more pages. She said she would think about it

Also, i always made appointment to see her, but she either forgot and didn't show up or was always busy. I can say that it's not my fault that we didn't meet much. it was always because of her busy schedule.

I have done honors project before and other projects, my professors require just 4-7 pages.

Anyways, my gpa is 3.85. Biz-econ major

What do you guys think? If I report that im not completing TAP, do you think they will rescind my admission?

Well, just keep them up to date with your situation. All in all, taking honors courses alone, without TAP certification, is definitely a plus to your academic portfolio.

I got a question though: When she said it had to be 10-15 pages, did she say that after you turned it in or was this information already in the syllabus?

There was no syllabus for this honors project. It’s very informal. When I was working on the project, I thought that 9 pages would be enough since other projects that i turned in had even less pages.

I hope she will let me complete it, but im not so sure I’m still waiting for her response…which probably will take forever…

i’m not 100% sure about this but my counselor said they don’t really check if you complete it, they just assume you completed if it you’re like 1-2 classes awawy from finishing it during spring.

holy shiznitz.. I’d say you do everything in your power to finish… I know plenty of people with over 3.85 who got rejected because they didn’t have TAP… Beg, plead, STALK if you have to!
