What type of schools could i get into with a score like this? Any ivies, any top public schools? list colleges that this would be competitive for please.

you could probably get into some UC's, but as for ivies, I'm not sure.

pretty much guaranteed to get you into all ivy's except harvard.

you gotta get like a 31 to get in harvard.

Pretty broad question.

Where are you wanting to go?

Kidding right?

a 36 can't even get you into ivies, sure it'll help but a 31 does not signal admission into even UCLA or Berkeley nevertheless the Ivys.

No score can guarantee anything

with this score where would you apply and feel like a good fit? I applied to both davis and berkeley btw how does my score fare with those two schools?

^^ There's their SAT info... just convert your ACT to SAT, and then compare to the tables... remember that adding up the SAT section scores for each percentile does not reflect the overall SAT scores at those percentiles (the SAT composite scores for each percentile is lower than adding the section scores together).

It will get you into most decent schools, but definitely not Ivys (unless you are like valedictorian, then you might have a chance).

but you could probably try some top public schools and have a chance. The GPA is also really important though.

like which top public schools? Like UVA or UNC?

some helpful links. I know there are more somewhere...

definitely give you a chance at top public colleges (maybe still a stretch for UNC-CH if you're not instate)

however, I don't think that a 28 is within the range for any of the middle 50% of ivies except for columbia university (visit collegeboard.com to see each schools' middle 50% ACT scores); therefore, you must be very strong in other areas to have a good chance for any ivies as of now

cheers

columbia as of last year was 31-35 middle 50 :(

Oh, no. You're only in the 92nd percentile. You must be in the 99+ to be successful in life.
/end CC mindset.

oh wow
you sure crunk?
I guess collegeboard hasn't been updating lately

heh...and I thought I was in their top 25%...-.-

well the guy is trying to get into an ivy and I'm trying to be realistic =.=

A 28 ACT score is a 1260 on the SAT. Just go to the college web sites that you have interest in and see incoming class profiles and you should have an idea of where you stand.

I think Cornell's middle 50 is 28-32

so what do you guys think my chance at florida would be? i would be oos

cornell used to have a 28-32 middle 50, but its now changed to like 30-34, they just haven't updated it.
