i applied ea... still waiting to hear from here and nyu... gah.

I also applied ea...

Not much longer now!

Probably like a week. Emerson sends them out on the 15th, so we'll get them even later. -_-

Well, there might be a bit of hope. I want to say kids last year began to hear in the area of the 12th/13th. I'm just trying to think about the way the calendar works this year. Is it likely that they'd finish the decisions on that Friday, and then mail everything out the Monday? I'm trying to think of reasons it's not, so I can hope I hear sooner. Though since I live in Tennessee, the chances of my hearing anywhere near early are pretty slim. Anyone know if there's a trick way to find out online? (i.e. financial aid / housing site)

They were still doing auditions for MT and Acting on Sunday......

It was strange...I checked my app status last night, and it said that my appliaction was processed on December 4th, which was originally October 27th. Other than that, nothing else changed. =/

chrissyblu...was this put on the wrong thread or are you referring to EA dates and how they correlate to MT auditions? Do you know if you apply EA and have not yet auditioned can you be accepted into the college pending your audition?

Well, i was just saying that they were still considering the EA applicants for MT and Acting as late as Sunday, so they are probably serious when they say they won't be mailing out the acceptances until next week. The Dec. 7th auditions were only for EA applicants.

I think I understand. If you applied EA and auditioned early you can get an answer with the EA acceptance dates. For those who applied EA but haven't audition, they will hear after their audition? I didn't know if it was like Elon where the EA decision is strictly academic and then your MT decision comes later.

No. They had three audition dates for the EA students who were applying for MT and Acting. Those were two in November and Dec. 7th. No one but the EA students were permitted to audition at that time. Now, Emerson has this odd way of dealing with EA students, from what I hear, in MT and Acting. It can accept them into the college, but defer the decision on the major until regular decision. Also, if you don't audition by December 7 and you applied EA, they just convert your application to a regular decision application.

Still, they have a post on the emerson website saying they are mailing the EA decisions on December 12th. that means it will probably arrive in California on the 15th.....

Chrissyblue, where is this post on the site? This makes me feel slightly better.. the waiting is driving me nuts. Good luck everyone!

ooo found it on my status checker!
"Please Note: Official Early Action application decisions are sent only by mail. Emerson College does not release application decisions over the phone, by email, or on Interactive Services. Decision letters were mailed on Friday, December 12th to Early Action applicants that completed by the deadline, and should arrive within 3-7 days. We appreciate your patience in receiving your application decision."

This feels so strange haha.
