So I've sent in my teacher recs/school reports...what if I don't do the essays?

Hello,

I'll keep it short and sweet: I'm having second thoughts about some of the schools I sent teacher recommendations and school reports to. Currently I've got 12 schools on my list but I'm looking to cut that down to 8.

Will they get kinda mad if I just choose not to do anything? They will receive my envelopes but I would not fill out the Common App or pay the application fees.

Thanks

no they won't
and what would they be mad about? and why would it matter anyways?

no your application won't be complete so they won't consider it.

For most colleges, the only thing that will happen is you will have an incomplete file which will never be reviewed by anyone other than a clerk. There are some colleges, usually some low on any ranking list which may actually send you something that goes along the lines of you will be admitted if you just finish your application.

but it would be nice to send them all e-mails giving an explanation or smth.

Even if they were mad, what would they do to you? Send somebody over to your house to teach you a lesson?
