So she got her first direct entry acceptance today!

She got accepted to East Stroudsburg and she is thrilled about it. We did FAFSA so we will see if she gets any more than the automatic merit for out of state students. We will have 3 in college at the same time. She also applied to York, D’Youville, Stevenson, Pitt Greensburg, Rutgers Camden, Edinboro and Neumann and is waiting to hear on those.

Congrats. The first acceptance greatly reduces the stress.

The two major regional health care networks now have a presence in the East Stroudsburg area. Lehigh Valley Health Network took over Pocono Medical Center, which is the hospital in East Stroudsburg. St. Luke’s Network built a new hospital to the west in Tannersville. There have been a tremendous number of hospital mergers in PA, NJ and other places.

@Charliesch I assume that is good news for clinicals?

Congratulations!

Yes, having two local hospitals that are controlled by competing large health organizations means more clinical opportunities, and a higher likelihood that the facilities and equipment will be updated. Some of the smaller independent hospitals have been having financial problems throughout Pa.

And an acceptance from Waynesburg U as well!
