So should I kill myself now

Sorry to give you some bad news but I heard that now the competition is so tough that it is a huge disadvantage to be anywhere below 2250 on the SAT. I heard this from a frend who goes to penn. Actualy in your case… you are right there at 2240 so I am not sure that would be a huge problem for you. I really want to go to penn as well… it is my dream school but I only have a 2180 SAT. However, I think that a few bad APs isnt terrible and as long as you are taking AP classes you have a great chance. Like all the others said… Penn cares alot about the essays and ECs… i dont have many EC so I plan to write excellent essays. Make sure you do the supplement to the common app and show alot of genuine interest in the school.

Your SAT is fine. AP’s mean surprisingly little and are only really used for initial class placement. Keep optimistic :D

alej414 and Lugburz:

what was your SAT Math I & SAT II Math score? Isn’t the Math score the one that Wharton is most concerned with? Did you have any other hooks becoz from what I have heard, you need very high test scores and rank for Wharton.

Will you be freshmen this fall?

Thanks!

a mess…
