... is it a lucky break, or a unfortunate necessity?

Is the apartment nice?

Cuz I got assigned there, to a 2 bedroom 4 person.

How does it compare to the other apartments? How does it compare to the dorms?

How does it compare to the other apartments? How does it compare to the dorms?

It’s pretty nice. It’s more spacious than some of the other university apartments (e.g. Westwood Palm) and the kitchens and bathrooms have been recently renovated. There’s two different configurations for 2-bedroom apartments: big patio or big living room. The big living room is superior in my opinion because it adds a lot of space.

Compared to the dorms, it depends on what you’re looking for. It’s probably less social, and food is not included so you’ll have to cook or eat out. However, you do get a kitchen, and the lifestyle is much less controlled than it is if you live in the dorms.

Also, it’s a short walk to south campus (less than 15 minutes to Boelter), and an acceptable walk to north campus.

Sweet, so probably not worth it to appeal in your opinion?

That depends on whether or not you prefer the alternatives. If you were set on living in the dorms, then you should appeal. Otherwise, Chateau is a nice place to live.
