So what are YOU doing in your APs classes now?

I don't know about you guys skipping class, but I skip classes every other day now...(mostly environmental science.. teacher's gone and the class is meaningless) the only class that i have to attend is english because i want my senior semester final exemption...

I mostly skipped visual communications, my elective class.. I hope i didn't exceed 9 absences yet.. I have to go there everyday until next week... then i'm free. >.<

psych- find a newspaper article on something to do w/psychology and relate it to what we've learned (easy points lol)
gov- moviefest! all the pres' men, bowling for columbine, etc etc
eng lit- catcher in the rye, things fall apart, siddharta, the stranger
calc ab- playing cricket! cuz my teacher's from new zealand... sigh cricket is a very confusing game!!! howzat?

NOTHING!

Well, in Italian, we're watching Cinema Paradiso....

I'm so jealous of all those doing fun things in your A.P.'s!
Meanwhile, in A.P. Euro, we're doing fifteen-minute presentations on topics chosen for us by our professor; I have to talk about Baroque art...
At least next week is the last week of classes!

Euro - Movies
US - Fun debates on current events.
English - Research Paper :(

in APUSH, we're watching movies. Kids in the first and fourth period classes don't have to come to class at all.

god all of u are soooo lucky
physics- finishing everything we did not cover
apush- make up work and working on the 80's and 90's
lang- finish reading ALL THE KING'S MEN

the calc students get to play gamecube

Econ-some bs projects/debates
Chem-we're packing all the stuff thats in the lab in boxes because the science section of the building is getting renovated and they are gonna knock down that whole section of the building.
English Language-We're doing a college project where we research various schools and fill out the applications and essays

Since we end on Monday and the seniors are already gone, we really didn't have all that much time after the APs.

Lesse...
AP Bio- Watching Jurassic Park, which is pretty amazing. Eating cookies. Generally partying.
AP Gov- Also videos. We just finished "National Treasure," which was a horrendous movie, and are now starting "Canadian Bacon."
AP Art History- Since there were only 5 juniors in the class and the rest were seniors, we're just chillin'.
AP Lit- Only AP class where we're still actively doing stuff. We're in a fun little satire unit, had to write and deliver some silly speeches, and tomorrow are reading aloud a one-page satire of our own devising. Not too bad.

So yeah, we're taking it easy.

we're watching movies in every class (APUSH, Lang, stat) except Bio, where we finishing some BS labs...school ends on May 25 here, but seniors were already gone by the 16th.

We're just chilling around:

AP Psychology - "A Beautiful Mind"
AP Calculus - Free study period
AP Physics - Bottle Rocket Competition; cool physics demonstrations
AP Literature - "Cinema Paradiso"
U.S. History - "Men of Honor"

In AP Chem, my group is making ethyl acetate. We have to optimize it to increase the rate of reaction and create the most ethyl acetate from acetic acid and ethanol. We are doing this project with the AP Calc and Stats class.

It's pretty great...today in class...I couldn't breathe...the fumes were so bad...that even the fume hood couldn't take it....ahh the joys of chemistry.

AP Calculus: "Stand and Deliver"
AP Physics: free blocks?

AP Studio Art: Painting a mural for the school's 100th birthday
AP Lit: Just finished Things Fall Apart
AP Government: project. For some reason, our teacher thought it would be helpful to do presentations to sum up our units, even though we've already had our final. So my group is doing altered versions of "Jesus Christ Superstar," "Wouldn't It Be Loverly," and the Jet song from West Side Story, all with the lyrics changed to be about bureaucracy, the presidency, and Congress. It's fabulous. We have costumes.

AP Microecon: we're going to go teach the regular, semester-long, do-nothing econ class something. In my group, we're going to teach them diminishing marginal revenue by feeding a kid a whole bunch of donuts (to teach them that, with each extra donut, happiness or "utility" increases by a diminishing amount)

AP Calculus: small project relating calculus to real life. (ie, predicting the trajectory and landing point of a rocket)

AP Spanish: we're re-learning all the verb tenses. ugh!

AP English: we're looking at colleges we might apply for and writing essays from the apps of 3 colleges. Probably the most useful post-AP thing I've seen.

AP Chemistry: my lab group is synthesizing aspirin, though our teacher won't let us try it when we're done, lol

Calculus: 3-5 pages paper on a famous mathematician and presentation on Monday. Then we'll be watching movies for the rest of the semester!

Gov't: CAP (Citizen Action Project), but it's really nothing

Bio: 1 min presentation on some stupid animal. I don't know what'll happen next. I hope my teacher won't talk about parasites again!

I only took one AP:Euro...but I am working as hard as I was before the AP.

I have readings in the Perry (15 pages a night of primary source reading)

as well as a 22 HUGE DOCUMENT (used for IB programs) DBQ on how the US ignored the holacoust.

.....at least there is on final.

computer science: control lego robot with programming

lang&com: read 2 more ***ing books, damn the teacher!!!

physics: build a boat with paper and stick, and we gonna get into it and get through a pool

US history: watching forrest dump

In Euro today we watched Blackadder(<3 Hugh Laurie) because someone brought it in and hey, it's Friday, then we'll watch Enemy at the Gate and Braveheart;still dissecting cats in Bio, and doing a bunch of stuff in German;we watched part of Goodbye Lenin today and we're reading Goethe's Die Leiden des jungen Werthers and Plenzdorf's Die neuen Leiden des jungen W.
