So what are YOU doing in your APs classes now?

AP Lang - The day after the AP test we got assigned 2 projects. FUN!

AP Psych - We already took the final so we'll probably just watch movies and do fun activities for the rest of the year. :)

AP World: a short paper due next week, a quiz coming up, and watching videos

AP Environmental: watching movies, going to the beach

I graduate this Monday...one more final and it's Friday!!!

It's interesting; I was expecting just card games across the board..

AP Language - Project
AP Stats - Project (but we can mess around and do whatever in class)
AP Physics - Project (Mixed in with some free time though)
AP US History - Project
AP Spanish - Project

AP Eng Lang - Movie for a couple of days, but now we're starting our I-Search...
AP USH - Movie, and then a project & paper

AP Physics C Mechanics- we are currently watching a movie, on friday we will go to Great America (theme park), then work on a final physics project that invovles demonstrating physics in real life

AP English- reading and discussing Invisible Man

AP USH- Watching Inherit the Wind, soon we will start a simulation

i am SO glad AP's are over

haha, today in world history we played "historical charades". i had to act out the neolithic revolution.

Bio: dissecting cats...fun fun. :D I was seperating muscles today. Ahh, bringing back fond memories of Anatomy and Physiology. But the poor kitty. I have a cat, so it was kind of hard when we started yesterday.
Euro: watching movies...Nicholas and Alexandria right now
German: watching a BBC produced German TV show called Susanna, and then reading a book for fun, and we were reading about the Klabautermann.

APUSH: We voted on which history-related movie to watch next class. "Forrest Gump" won. And we played cards and had a party..the first day we haven't worked for the entire year. :)

APeng: We watched "Death of a Salesman" and "The Glass Menagerie." Now we have to create a "deleted scene" for one of those plays..ours involves the father in TGM's return after 16 years with his "life partner" and the murder of the obnoxious southern mother with a glass knife..haha yeahh our group is interesting..

Stats: Project, Tests, Hmwk (everyday, as usual), Final
English: Read a classic, paper, Final (Paper and in-class), learn a soliloquy
Physics: Read what we didn't finish, Tests, Hmwk, Final

I think I hate post-AP projects more than actual tests. I'm not creative at all and so projects usually hurt, or at least don't help, my grade. Especially skits and oral stuff.

Eng. Lit: Reading 2 pieces of literature concurrently (one during class - Hedda Gabler, the other outside of class - Portrait of an Artist), filling in 40 pages worth of study guides, taking a test on each book, taking a midterm essay test on both books, one project to make a "creative" map of england and ireland (as in a quilt or a toilet seat or something), and another to make a ~10 minute skit/character impersonation thing (group). I hate my teacher.

Span. Lang: Oral presentation (individual), one oral exam, and 2 "finals" that are really easy.

Bio: Video project about a chapter/big topic from our book, powerpoint presentation on animals, reading random articles about how much intelligent design sucks (and creationists are liars...yes, my teacher loves evolution and I'm Christian and even though I'm not physically ill at the thought of evolution, how much he calls my beliefs stupid just pi**** me off).

APUSH: Movies for the rest of the year. Currently watching Seabiscuit.

Biology: Camping trip. Just got back =)

Calculus: Still normal. Assignments & an upcoming test. Ugh.

Calculus: Absolutely nothing

Euro: We watched Monty Python and the Holy Grail, but we are going to be reconstructing the debate on the use of the atomic bomb right before it was dropped, and we will also be having a debate on the future of history. We're also planning our dream European vacations.

Stats: We've got a couple of projects...first one's a survey and a chi-square test for homogeneity or independence, second one's a goodness of fit test for m&m's...not sure about the others.

Last year, son said in his AP classes, they ended just before the 1st AP exam & only had optional review sessions (he had 3 APs + 1 self-study). This year, he has ALL APs & marching band, so once he finishes his AP econ exams & last concert on Sunday, he only has homeroom in the morning & can chill the rest of the day with the other kids who have free periods. Monday, we're going to re-take his senior picture since he hated the one taken for the yearbook. Maybe one day we'll go & get his driver's license (still hasn't taken the road test). There will be a lot of folks at his school with a lot of free periods, tho those who took non-AP classes will still be having class thru the last day of class 5/25 (for seniors). We're not quite sure whether he officially has to attend school, since seniors are allowed off campus when they aren't in class, but he'll probably enjoy visiting with his buddies & favorite teachers.
He has the option of reviewing for his college placement exams, which he'll take 5/20, so he may spend a bit of time on that as well.

We have 10 days of school left so nothing really.

English Language: work, work, work (and preparing for june ACT/SAT tests.)
US History: videos
Chemistry: study hall

We are seriously doing more work now than before the test.

US History- A detailed study of Vietnam, Reaganomics next week, and a full blown research paper based on either an interview or biography.

English Language- We have so far read Huckleberry Finn, and are now discussing it. We also have to do a research paper for an outside book, and read/analyize The Great Gatsby

Calc AB- Intergration by parts, tabular method. We are also going to learn trig substitutions, and partial fractions. I know there are some other things too, but I can't remember.

Man, I'm tired of working. No homework the past four days though :)

Art History - tomorrow she's "forgetting to take attendance"
Studio - same as always, slacking around (shouldn't really count it as AP since only one kid turned in a portfolio)
Lit - a poetry unit and Camus' "The Stranger"
Physics - projects about anything...I'm building a crossbow out of stuff in the lab, some friends are trying a rail gun, others are trying to improve on last year's hovercraft.
Calc- just finished watching Heart of Darkness, don't know what's in store for the last week.

why do u guys still have to go to class when the test is over??
for me i stopped going to AP classes ever since may began..
and classes end for sure after the test is done..

so now school's pretty empty and i'm so free during the day

^^wait wait wait a minute

so u cut class everday now?
