If you got rejected, what would/did you do? What colleges are you aiming for now? Are you happy with Stanford's decision?

Me, I'm aiming for west coast universities since the universities in Nevada are... well, not prestigious and boring. (Seriously boring...) However, I'm still applying to one as a safety. I got over Stanford's decision rather quickly.

Though I won't complain, I'm extremely dissapointed in Stanford's decision to reject me. My grades and test scores were pretty good, but my ECs weren't stellar. I felt that my essays would get me in as what I wrote about was my past and my plans for the future and how Stanford, specifically, and its surroundings would greatly help me on my future specific endeavour.

But, now I've been rejected so I can't do anything about that. I might try and transfer after my freshman year, again citing the same reason for going to Stanford as i did in my SCEA application.

Currently, i'm working on apps to other schools. Now, my first choice is MIT. Mostly finished, but still have a couple of essays to write.

I'm in the process of getting over the decision. I'm keeping a positive attitude and not acting depressed, but when I'm by myself, I can't help to feel pretty sad. I'm sure i'll be fine and end up somewhere good.

I'm going to apply everywhere else on my list: three Ivies, two Californian LACs, a university in Evanston, and a safety. I'm extremely disappointed with Stanford's decision, but assumably I'll get over it. I might have to root against their football team when they are not playing Notre Dame or USC, though.

After the (wow, three days early) rejection, I've just been working on other apps. Mostly just some other great schools like Princeton/UChicago, etc.
And of course my safeties, and Canadian Universities.

I've really learned from this process that the university doesn't really matter, me (and fellow rejectees) aren't in any way inferior or will have less chances for the future! ...Or maybe I'm just being blindly positive after they didn't accept me. :D

Haha, no, I'm sure that a successful future (w/o Stanford) will [eventually] come!

I already applied to Cal Poly SLO (back in September), 5 UCs, and USC.
I'm almost done with my UPenn and Northwestern applications.
And then I'll start CMU.

I'm excited to see where everyone ends up! We'll make Stanford regret not accepting us! Mwahahahaha.

Haha, if I don't end up going to Stanford in the future for some type of degree, I already imagined what I'll do in the future. It's somewhat of a "told you so".
