Hey all! I just wanted to get a feel for what some of you want to accomplish at UNC, now that you are accepted!

I plan on majoring in English and teaching afterward. Hopefully, I'll receive the NC teaching fellows scholarship, too. I would love to focus on creative writing, and possibly minor in public administration.

As far as sports go, I'm all for some intramurals. I'm thinking Ultimate Frisbee would be fun and pretty social, so I'll check that out in the fall.

Being an English nerd, I am going to check out what clubs there are to do with literature or English.

Other than that, I just want to have a GOOD time and meet tons of people in the dorms. I can't wait!

I plan on majoring in Marketing or Management at Kenan-Flagler. In terms of clubs, I am definitely joining the Marathon Running Club, and may try and write for the Daily Tar Heel if I can.

I plan on double majoring in Chemistry w/ Biochemistry Track and Mathematics with a Spanish minor. Plan on being Pre-Med, and I want to be a walk on for the football team if I can…my high school does not have sports…but thats a stretch.

Dumbsmartkid I am going to major in Biochem and minor in Spanish too! Though I am aiming towards pharmacy or getting my Phd instead of pre-med, but I haven’t ruled it out.

I also am going to try out for the Equestrian Team.

@corey91 I would love to go for my Phd, but that is to much work that I am not willing to do. i will definately get my masters however. I also want to join the Air Force and going for my phd would delay that too long I think.

How will the Air Force work into your pre-med plans, you want to be a doctor in the air force? I am just curious since I’ve never heard of that combination.

Yeah…I plan on being an Air Force Pediatric Surgeon. I do ROTC in college and then I apply for a medical scholarship from the Air Force to pursue medical school. The Air Force pays for it all. The Air Force has doctors, lawyers, judges, pastors, engineers, nurses, its not just pilots anymore. lol. There are plenty of careers to chose from.

I really don’t know. I might major in English or see what Kenan-Flagler has to offer. Might go to law school after graduation. I honestly have no idea!

I can’t wait to get up to Chapel Hill…friday nights on Franklin Street are going to be amazing :)… as far as academics goes I want to double major in International Relations and Public Policy with a minor in Psychology. Hopefully do a semester abroad and really get to experience Carolina life. Basketball games and football are a must
Looking forward to August
Go HEELS!!!

Ahh I’m so excited about chapel hill–Franklin Street/weekends in general are going to be amazinggg! I’m going in as a bio major but I am thinking about changing to biochem major…I’m just going to wait and see what I end up liking more. I’m DEFINITELY pre-med–I want to be a pediatric surgeon of some sort…

That sounds exciting! My sister did biochemistry at State and loved it, then went to UNC Med. She’s now a practicing anesthesiologist and loves working at UNC!

I’m so excited for the next year, I’m from long island and i’ll likely be dual-majoring in international studies and linguistics. I definitely can’t wait to study abroad, i think that was one of the reasons why I got accepted to begin with

Full disclosure: I grew up as a Duke fan (i know, i know…) but I’m really excited to be a tar heel next year!!
