We only have 6 AP classes in my entire school. I’ve already taken AP stats and AP language. I didn’t take APUSH this year, and I’m not taking AP gov. next year because history isn’t my strong point. The only other class is AP calculus (I avoid calculus like the plague). We also have no honors classes.

It kind of kills me inside not being able to take something fun and enjoyable like drawing/painting or creative cooking II. I have a hate/love thing with ASB. I do love ASL II and I feel like psych will be interesting, but still. I love art, but I figure with the lack of academically challenging classes available already, art would probably be a bad idea. I would just go to the community college for some classes (which I’m still considering for winter or spring quarter there anyway) but the majority of classes at the CC here are a joke and aren’t any more educational than my school’s classes.

I also have no room for a math credit, which I worry about… I’ve taken Algebra 1, Geometry, Advanced Algebra/Trig., and AP Stats. I was going to take advanced math topics and only a semester of psych, but my counselor said I’d be better off with a year of psych rather than a semester of each, and that the math isn’t that important if I already have 4 credits… I’m still iffy on that.

We’ll see how it goes… I worry that between chemistry and AP language, I’ll be stressed out. I REAAAALLLLYYY do not want to take chemistry, but then I really would have bad chances at getting into a half-way decent college/uni. I just hope I don’t fail too badly. Both of the teachers who teach it at my school are absolutely terrible. One doesn’t teach anything (I had him freshman year) and just expects you to know it all. The other teacher treats you like you’re five and is a complete idiot and knows nothing about anything she teaches. She’s not a fan of me, either, as I disagree with her constantly. She’s a flat out idiot. This is what sucks about going to a rural, 1400 student high school.

I really hate inept counselors.
