So who has been accepted for their 2nd choice major?

At this point I'm sure you guys know I love making pattern-related threads, so here's another (hopefully the last) one. :P

My primary theory on the order of people that review your application is this: 1st choice - if rejected, 2nd choice - if rejected, undeclared. Makes sense, yes? I figured they wouldn't have the 2nd choice people reading your application unless you got rejected from your 1st choice because they have other people to look at. I think the order of mailings might have something to do with that. Now, another thing that supports this theory is the SCA applicant/acceptance list we have going.

The two most popular and largest programs in SCA are Production (50 people -- this one is the most popular one, though)) and Critical Studies (75 people). They are two different "concentrations" (sort of) within the same major, though. I noticed that the first people to be accepted were people who put Production down as their 1st choice and the next people to be accepted were people who put Critical Studies down as their 1st choice. So far, only a few people who put Critical Studies down as their 2nd choice have been accepted. A large number of applicants apply to both programs but put P as their 1st and CS as their 2nd because the former is harder to get into (logical, right?). So I thought that it made sense that most people getting in had P 1st or CS 2nd (and got rejected from P). Hope that whole explanation made sense.

All of that may only apply to SCA and it may only be a coincidence, so I couldn't really tell you. But I would just like to see how many people have been accepted into their 2nd choice major. If you reply, post:

[ul]
[] 1st choice major and school
[] 2nd choice major and school
[] dates of status changes (don't have to be exact), if any
[] do backdoor links work?
[li] when did you receive the letter? include any postmark/letter dates, if you can remember them.[/li][/ul]

ALSO, I would just like to remind everyone that "forwarded" > "being reviewed" does not necessarily mean acceptance!
<a href="http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/890045-just-reminder-warning-everyone-about-status-changes.html%5B/url%5D">http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/university-southern-california/890045-just-reminder-warning-everyone-about-status-changes.html</a></p>

And lastly, it seems like EVERYONE has gotten the "being reviewed" update with the missing documents link as of today. The backdoor links may not necessarily work because of the volume of status changes... USC has to put your USC ID into the system for the backdoor links to work and it seems like a LOT of people have changed (both accepted and rejected), so DO NOT RELY ON THE BACKDOOR LINKS.
