So Who's Going to Warren?

I got into Warren. Heard it's too far from the rest and some people said it sucks. I refuse to listen to them. haha

My ranking was kinda random, went with warren cause he was a supreme court justice and i dono but i guess in the end it works out because I kinda agree with the idealogy. =]

hmm i wonder if i'm gonna like my roomie. haha

EDIT: recommend dorms please? which one should i pick and double or triple occupancy?

Warren is very good.

I strongly recommend selecting a single in a residence hall.

I'm in Warren - don't listen to anybody who puts it down. :) Yes, you'll probably walk more than any student from the other colleges, but that's about the only downside.

I'd recommend a single too, even if you're a very gregarious person. The suite design makes it so that even if you're in a single, you're still very much in an open atmosphere with your suitemates. That said, if you want to save money, you might as well pick a triple, because there's a very low chance you'll get a double - Warren has converted most of the doubles to triples.

Sixth is the college that's most isolated and where people walk the furthest.

just wondering..for the triple is it really spacious?

No, triples are not spacious. They were designed as doubles. The triples in my suite are very full.

does anyone have any pics for the triples?

Like others have said, Warren is not bad at all. It's one of the better colleges, especially for G.E.'s. Also, the dorms (both res hall and apartment) look nice. Not to mention Earl's Place =). The point is, you won't be disappointed.

Definitely choose a single...you won't regret it.

I don't really want a single though. I kinda want a room mate lol (might regret it later... -_-) but that would be a cool way to meet a totally new person and of course you're going to be pretty close since you live together.

oh and my friend goes to muir and he said i don't have to dorm at warren.

oh man how come i can't edit my post? lol

anywho. would you guys recommend res. halls or apartments?

i would recommend res. halls for your first year, because it will probably be easier to meet new freshmen that way.

I'm at warren!

for me, I imagined having a roommate as part of my college experience, so I'm probably going to be stuck in a triple..... oh well :X

just to let you know, you will probably live in the warren apartments your sophomore year, and there are no singles in the warren apartments. so even if you are in a single your freshmen year, you will definitely be able to have the "roommate experience" in the apartments your second year. and i think the majority of the double rooms in the apartments will be converted into triples by then, so....there is a good chance that you will be in cramped triples your first two years if you aren't in a single your first year.

Still deciding between Warren Colllege/UCSD and UCSB for molecular biology. Anyone else trying to decide between two schools, and looking at their dorms, among other info?

nah, I was stuck between UCI and UCSD but Irvine is too close to home and yeah I would save money if I went there cause I'd live at home but I'd miss out on the whole college experience you know? lol

Eidison have you seen both campuses already?

I've been to both, and they are both great. SB seems a little more laid back and easier to get around in. SD has the academics. Hard to decide between two great choices.

Yeah, I haven't visited UCI yet. Maybe I shouldn't submit my SIR for SD until I see UCI. But really though, I don't want to live at home so UCI would have to have something out of the ordinary to change my mind. lol

yeah i'm having trouble deciding on UCI or UCSD. i don't want to be close to home... so i'm thinking UCSD. but UCSD accepted me for winter quarter, not fall. sooo.... that makes my decision a lot harder.

why don't you just take classes at a JC for the fall quarter and then you come in with credits during the winter quarter, that way you won't have to catch up on anything.

do i have to take jc classes during the summer too? not just fall?
