I currently attend school in the Northeast and stink bugs are are a huge issue apparently. It wasn't recently until I saw how annoying they really were - there were 5 in my room within the past 2 days.

I googled this bug (as this bug is not in my state at all, it can't strive there as I don't live in a green place) and it is found in about 33 states across the nation, one including California.

I was wondering if stink bugs were a big problem too there??? I am wondering because there is no real repellent for them!!! You can kill mosquitoes but you cannot squish stink bugs!

I am transferring to a SoCal university so I wanted to know if I should prepare for some type of bug problem there too!

LOL! I don’t think there are any stink bugs here because no one I know ever talks about them. I think spiders and cockroaches are more prevalent here, although that’s just because of unkempt/unclean lifestyles. I don’t think you have to worry much here.

I saw one today when I went for a walk haha. I can only remember seeing a stink bug once inside though. And I rarely see them outside. I think you’re safe! :)

I lived in SoCal for 21 years before coming to NorCal to continue my college education. I never saw stinkbugs during my 21 years of living in SoCal. I saw spiders, house centipedes, and cockroaches (all of which badly terrify me), but not stinkbugs.

That’s SO relieving!!! These bugs stress me out more than my final papers and exams are, currently. You can’t squish them (it’ll smell TERRIBLE and attract more stink bugs) and they fly around. And their hard shells protect them from most pesticides/bug repellents! Wah. THEY ■■■■■ :[

I lived in SoCal for 18 years before moving to NorCal for college…never seen one either place.

Just gotta watch out for the black widows.
