Hey Guys

I''m an international student(italian) and i'm going to apply for several uni for fall 2013

It never crossed my mind to apply to a scholarship (I know very little of scholarships) But when i was taking the SAT test I met a girl who applied for a tennis scholarship to the university of Virginia and they are asking as minimum ony 1000 points on the general sat for all three sections (i dont know if its true , but i heard Harvard ask 1300 points).

As consequence I became very interested and i really would like to know more about sport scholarships .

Having this said , I played soccer at a semi professional(with this i mean my team was paying my expenses- equipments , tranfer etc) level in rgional and national leagues for 7-8 years winning numerous awards and being selected in the Milllwall FC academy(english soccer team) so i tought to give it a try .

I then registered on the NCAA site , but on the informations they require , they also need as mandatory all coach the reference , phone and email of my soccer coaches since the age 16 (now im 20) . And that's pretty impossible to find coaches of 5 years ago , as i played in different teams and for some i barely remember the name .

Speaking with the same girl i met at the SAT she told me that she didnt apply from the NCAA , but from the Universities direct athletics sites (on the recruiting box) and i have noticed is easier as they ask fewer informations but they also ask informations like have you applied for this university or what is your SPARQ rating and other ratings or are you registered with an NCAA clearinghouse etc .

So as you can see I'm very ignorant on this matter and I'm looking forward for any help or suggestions

Thank you very much,

Willy
