We study really hard here. The work is truly never-ending, and that's all you ever hear about Davidson, but it's true. There is always something to be done.
BUT! There are plenty of parties, for sure! The guy-floor below me plays beer pong almost daily (which is not really wise, but they enjoy themselves) and after First Night Down (first night freshmen are allowed in the Court down the hill where all the Eating Houses and frats are located) there are parties almost every day. Spring Frolics in the spring is a weekend of absolute insanity: party, party, party, and the teachers expect you to come to class hungover.
We work hard and party hard; run on caffeine and rest on alcohol!

There are also lots of things to do if you're not into drinking (I'm not at all -- Diet Coke trumps beer, any day!). The Union hosts fun socials -- dances, juggling lessons, cookie-decorating contests, midnight pancake breakfasts, and Davidson brings in a lot of big artists to entertain the students. One year, we had O.A.R., Black Eyed Peas, and the Fray, to name a few. Students are very involved in sports and clubs.

Residence Life Office actively encourages freshmen hall bonding with hall games, hall service project opportunities, and inter-hall competitions like the Freshmen Olympics.

Davidson's administration realizes that a small town can make for a "bubble" sensation or a cramped atmosphere, so they don't squabble for an instant over pumping funds into fun things for the students.

Most of the people here are very attractive and concerned with how they look (not in a self-conscious way -- basically, people just dress up a bit instead of dressing sloppily). But you get all kinds.
In terms of dating/relationships, I get the impression there are lots of couples and lots of flings ... not a lot in between. People aren't cliquey, per se, but they find their niche and usually stay put, on their own accord.

Religion and spiritual life are what you make of them. They have churches of all denominations, Jewish hillel & synagogue and other organizations, among many other clubs, religious groups, and associations.
Yes, Davidson is still Presbyterian "officially," but no, there's no mandatory service on Sunday mornings or anything remotely like that.
