Social Life: Villanova vs BC

Hi i am a girl looking at these schools and I was wondering what the social scene was for both? I know Villanova has Greek life so I thought that it would have more of a party atmosphere but I have also heard of “VillaNOfun”. And since BC doesnt have Greek life- whats the social scene for girls?
My main question is what school has a larger party scene?

Neither school will have insane party scenes because they are both rather competitive to get into. BCs parties center more around their sports teams (they love them) but I also know that those living off campus like to just get their friends and their friends friends together for drinks from time to time. I cannot speak for Villanova as I haven’t heard anything recently regarding it. Once again, neither are “rager every weekend” schools because they are 1. expensive and 2. hard to get into, sometimes giving more incentive for students to “behave”. Both have high academic standards and difficult coursework, so I would say that if you’re simply searching for a good time rather than academics, you may want to look elsewhere.

You may want to consider Penn State given your priorities.

N*che puts out a long ranking of America’s top party schools.
Boston College comes in at #152 ;
Villanova is way down at #295. Still, even Villanova gets a B+ for “Party Scene”.
I guess America has a pretty deep bench when it comes to party schools.
(Either that, or grade inflation.)

Hi! My sister attends Villanova. In her freshman year she partied all the time! You just have to be willing to look for the parties but a lot of frats held parties and she was having fun all the time. :slight_smile: Not sure what other info I have, but if you’re looking to have fun and also get a good education, Nova is great!
