I am an in state resident and i always had my mind set on leaving missouri. reasons i would stay at mizzou is the fact that its cheap, i would know some people and that its a big college. I wanted to know how the social life is( parties, greek life, sports, overall atmosphere) and weather its worth just staying here and not drifting to far away. If i can have fun and get a good education here i don't see any point in leaving.

Social life at Mizzou is classic college-town, big school atmosphere.
If you’re a girl, you can get into any frat party you want…whether or not frats are your thing is up to you. People also hold house parties often.
If partying isn’t your thing, the student government holds fun events on Friday nights like craft nights and spa nights, and there are always free movies in the evening.
It’s easy to get a random hook-up at a frat party, but there are also long-term relationships (keep in mind though that a lot of in-staters means preexisting relationships).
Sports are huge here. You can expect to devote your Saturdays to tailgating and cheering on the football team. It’s pretty much an obligation to buy student section tickets to the football/basketball games.
Downtown Columbia is really fun, with tons of cute thrift stores and some indie concert venues.
If you’re from a big city, it might seem like a shock to come to a town dedicated entirely to a single college. On the other hand, if you’re from a small town, you might find the mass of students who are always busy to be overwhelmingly.
Whichever college you choose, you’ll make what you can of it.
But I guarantee the social life is worth it, because every night there is something going on.
