I’ve never worked or received any paycheck, but when talking to my parents apparently I receive social security benefits? One of my parents is retired and I guess they (or me, but I’ve never accessed this $$$) receive benefits because of me. Does this go in the student income section in IDOC? It was already reported as a part of the total family income in the CSS, so I don’t want to put the same number twice and accidentally inflate my family’s actual income.
Your parents receive the money, right? It may be “because of you,” but it is most likely not a check in your name. If that is correct, you don’t need to report it. It would be part of your parents’ income.
You’re right. It’s already reported elsewhere so I don’t think it would make sense for me to put it down again.
Yes, if it’s reported elsewhere, you would not report it again.
