<p>I applied to transfer to Davis and really hope to get accepted. I have ben reviewing housing options and want to know if anybody can give some reviews of Solano Park housing. I have a wife and a baby and want to make sure it is safe and not too rundown.</p>

<p>I would highly suggest looking at Russell Park instead. I live there now and it’s a lot newer and nicer than Solano Park. Russell Park gives priority to students with families, so it shouldn’t be too difficult to obtain a spot.</p>
<p>I don’t know about Solano Park, but Russell Park seems pretty safe to me. There were some bike thefts earlier this quarter and the police came quickly enough to catch one of them. Anywhere in Davis is going to be relatively safe, so I wouldn’t worry too much about that.</p>
