Transfer Student Housing

Hello everyone,

I will be transferring to UC Davis for the Fall of 2015 and I wanted to see what would be recommended for me as far as the housing goes. I want to do my housing application today.
First things first:

  1. I WILL NOT live in the dorm.
  2. I DO NOT want a roommate.
  3. Would prefer quiet housing, but kids like in Solano Park should not be a problem.
  4. Would prefer a newer building and clean housing
  5. Will need a place to park.
  6. Closer to downtown preferred for work commute.
  7. Quite neighbors.
    etc…

Thanks a lot in advance for all the contributors.

Don’t go through student housing if you can avoid it. It’s far more expensive to do that than to go through the actual apartment complex.

1 isn’t an issue because they don’t offer housing in the dorms for transfers anymore, or at least haven’t for a few years.

When you say you don’t want a roommate, do you mean you want an apartment to yourself, or do you mean that you want your own room in the apartment?

What’s your price range?

Your best bet is to go on the housing page on Facebook and look at what’s been posted, if you haven’t already. Alternatively you could post your preferences and see if anyone responds with anything.

I mean an apartment to myself. I do not want to share kitchen or bathroom with anyone. So I am planning on renting out either a single or small one bedroom. I am planning on spending in the range of $1000 a month on the rent. I cannot really go over that because I am still paying another rent in Los Angeles and I am going to continue paying that. Can you send the link to the Facebook? I have not seen it. Thanks a lot for the response and your help.

I have to edit the link because CC edits out the facebook part of the address

Thanks for the help.
