hey guys, my application is pretty solid all round, except for SAT subject tests... i didn't study at all and got 650s in math 2 and physics ><... im taking them tomorrow but i havent studied much so i doubt i will improve :(...
the percentiles are 50 and 44....
also, i am applying from canada...

Well, hmmm... I think you know your answer - you said you haven't studied. I would definitely want to at least go over some practice tests so you can be better prepared. Maybe see how you go but then if you have to retake ;) be intentional and carve out some time to study before the next time. Look around in the SAT section - there's lots of good advice on which books to study, etc.

What are your schools and other stats? Some might not care about subject tests at all, some treat them like a third standardized test. This info would be helpful.

Also, come chance me at Small-Town Junior looking for advice and chances for big-name schools thanks! (you don't have to)

A quick look shows you applied to Stanford EA also not having studied for the SATI. You would think the rejection there may have been a wake up call re the need to study.

Then you got yourself suspended.

If the other schools on your list are anywhere close to the caliber of Stanford, and you still chose not to study, you really need to ask yourself why you self sabotage and prepare to call Canada home for 4 more years.

lol thats true... but the second time i took the SATI i managed a 2060.. 680/680/700CR, 94th percentile :S
and i hate justifying the suspension (i deserved it), but i picked myself up from it and now i'm president of the student body...
other stats - basketball, shotput, discus, javelin for four years; rugby, volleyball for 2
-average has been in low 90s for my 3 years of high school (i skipped a grade, but not cause im smart.. cause i lived in australia for a year ;)
-in the winter i manage the local hockey rink (20 hrs/week), and for the last few years i've worked as a DJ (small events, 5hrs a week, weddings, parties etc)... but now its starting to take off and i have a few residencies...
-been playing piano for 12 years, classically trained but a passion for jazz.. i sent every university a recording of listz's sonetto del petrarca n104
-won a scholarship to go to china for 2 weeks last summer, i wrote about it for my essays
-third prize at the canada wide science fair (cash + scholarship), grand prize at regional science fair
-for the last two years, i spent a few months doing microbiology research 40hrs a week... good fun
schools i applied to:
berkeley, ucla, chicago, duke, brown, jhu, stanford (rejected), columbia, MIT, caltech

Every single one of your schools is too good for you. If you think you can get into a top tier school without revising for your SATs then you deserve an extra 4 years in Canada.

Jaan's SATs are a bit low, but I hear Canada is a nice place.
