Some serious advice needed.....

Ok, so I scored 730 Math 2 and 720 Physics on SAT 2s..... I'm applying to Stanford as an International and I know these scores aren't the greatest considering all...... should I take the SAT 2s again in January and rush my scores to Stanford in hopes that they will consider them even though they say the January scores don't arrive in time?? (I realize the deadline for international testing for Jan has passed... but I live like 20min away from the US border, so it's not an issue to test there.) I honestly think I can do better though considering I was scoring 800s on the practice and was really upset the day I took the test. Should I bother??

Also... if you submit both an ACT score and a SAT, do they just consider the highest and ignore the other, or do they take both into account??

Thanks =)

...also I suppose I could test standby.... but i'm assuming results take longer to get there if you do that.

as an international student? i'd say... yea these aren't the greatest scores... but i guess things depend a lot on ur other stuff... i may be wrong...so...

I wouldn't retake. If your application is strong, the 730/720 won't hurt and if your application is weak 800/800 won't help.

Retaking at this point just makes you look desperate.

anything above 700 is fine. once you have pretty good stats, which it seems you already do, getting into schools like stanford comes down to luck, essays, and ec's.
