Some Advice on transfering to UcBerkeley

HI, I just started my first semester at a ccc and Im looking to transfer to Cal (specifically Haase). From what I have heard they want a resume and more then just a good gpa. So i was wondering if I should intern, work, join clubs/asb,volunteer, etc. Does it matter what field I do that stuff in? or does it only matter that I do it?

i guess i should have put “I need some advice on transferring to Cal” :P

do student government or any leadership experiences
the field doesn’t really matter as long as you had some leading role in it. but it will be plus if you write a good personal essay in a relation to your experience outside of school.
except if you are applying to science or business department, you should do something related to those fields.

however, your GPA is the most important factor in admission.

Haas transfer rate is around 6%
3.9-4.0 GPA is expected.
Most 3.9, 4.0 GPA applicants get weeded out.
Being in a club does not give you any credit- you have to be a president or vice president of the club you’re in to get some recognition.
If you have a job experience as a store manager, I believe that would help.
You should take part in something business related and write why and how you want to transfer to Haas in your personal statement.

Actually, I believe out of the ELIGIBLE applicants for Haas, 25% were accepted.
