"The Kite Runner", and "The Hit List".

Some books I have laying around wanting to be read.
"Catch-22", "The Great Gatsby", Some random novel by Stephen King.

Someone here said "Catch-22" has a lot of SAT terms in it. Lawrence Block is a great writer who is the author of a suspenseful novel that deals with an assassin that kills for "legal" money. Great book, cop it!

I read Catch-22 last year for a book report and loved it! Although the beginning was slow for me. I dont really know about SAT term wise though I was reading just to read it. How's The Kite Runner?? I've had a couple of friends read it but no ones actually told me what they think about it. Right now I'm reading Hamlet to cross it off the 101 Books to read before college. After I finish it I have to start my summer reading ://

I've read the Kite Runner. I thought it was really good. It's not a challenging read or anything, so don't expect it to help you on the SAT. I'm reading Frankenstein right now :)

The Kite Runner is a tad challenging, no doubt. It's good, gets very tedious toward the very end of the novel..

The Kite Runner was good but I felt it was almost too fictional. Being a book that is somewhat supposed to be reflecting the reality of the Middle East, it didn't convince me enough.

I could explain these details, but I don't want to give out any spoilers.

Ahh, so with the tediousness it's going to be one of the books that I like and than make go END by the end.

Harrypotter I'd love to hear your opinions if you want to share, I like hearing peoples opinions before I read something so I can decide if I agree or not. So hey PM me! Hahah or not it's not a big deal :]

Anybody have any really great books they recommend??

I've been reading

Brave New World

its really good and I did come across SAT words and SAT-like words.
its not too long so if you want to get a few books in before the november SAT, this should be at the top of your list.
