*** is going on.
It seems most of the people I have met or overheard were sick recently or talk about their roommates being sick. Most were just common colds, but one was food poisoning. Now i'm sick.... :(

yeah everyone is sick right now. its f**** annoyin!!

Seriously.....I've been sick all three weeks we've been here. :(

Yup, few of you already know that I caught the cold... Not a good time considering I have an exam on Monday!

i had the cold a couple weeks ago. lasted 3-4 days. three words for you people:

alka seltzer plus

colds travel quickly when you're living in a relatively close proximity to LOTS of other people... i was sick almost the entire fall quarter of my first year but haven't really had a bad cold since...

yeahh its alright. being sick isnt the worst thing.

I'm on and off sick which is weird. One day I'll feel good, another day I'll feel like crap. Everyday I get some bout of nausea after eating food from the dining hall. I don't know whats up with me and my immune system.

Wonder if its the dining halls? I remember a few occasions at De neve where i picked up a glass and it looked dirty and felt gritty. Actually i went through a few glasses one time until i saw one that looked clean.

its probably not the dining halls... its probably just the millions of people living around you with germs that your body isn't familiar with... especially if you live in a high rise with community restrooms.... well, i guess it could be the dining halls but only because our fellow residents may not have the best dining hall etiquette, if you know what i mean....

Many things may be leading to all of your feeling under the weather. Keep a few things in mind:

You're stressed out. Stress does crazy things to the body.

You're probably not sleeping as much as you used to. Lack of sleep does crazy things to your body.

Your diet may have changed significantly from before. Changes in diet...you get it.

Keeping a bunch of people cooped up next to each other is just asking for an illness.

However, I sincerely doubt it's the dining hall. Even if there's "grime" left on the flatware, it's usually washed in very hot water and soap, killing things quite well.

^all of that, plus the freshmen slump. happens everywhere. you get to college, your meeting people, your partying or whatever, your having a great time, then about a month later you suddenly: miss home, realize you have a ****load of work, college isnt all fun and games, midterms, 8 am classes get to you, etc.
