So just to get things clarified, when you apply for quest bridge, it would be like you are applying to college right? Like the stuff you put on your application will be looked and and reviewed by the colleges you ranked and if the colleges think you would fit in their school, they will “accept” you and you are matched and get to attend their school? So if you put that you are interested in STEM majors or something, would it be best to shift the focus of your application to your STEM extracurriculars and your essays to focus on STEM activities? Like for example in the extracurricular section where you rank which one is most important to you, would it be best to rank your STEM extracurricular as number 1 if you want to be a STEM major? Because I put that I was interested in STEM careers earlier in the application.
@archlion - Yes, this is applying to college. The QB application will be reviewed during the match process. Depending on which schools you choose to rank, you may or may not have quite a few supplemental essays and paperwork to complete. I would definitely focus on your STEM ECs. However, you don’t have to make all your essays stem oriented. One of my son’s supplemental essays had absolutely nothing to do with music. His philosophy was that I have already shown that I am a very strong musical candidate; now, I would like for you to know something else about me. You know you best and what would make your application come together!
I know you probably already know this, but this is just a reminder. While you are waiting for finalist notification, I would definitely work on the supplemental essays for all your ranked QB schools prior to the notification date. The time frame between notification and when all the supplements/additional information is due for ranked schools is very short.
