Some club help

I've been running a Science Club for several weeks now with a few middle schoolers, but the problem I noticed is that they have a lot of ideas, but don't have the motivation to implement them. I'm starting to run out of ideas for interesting labs for the middle schoolers, but I really want this to continue?

Any ideas? cuz this is pretty urgent

take them out on a trip to like an interactive hand on place..where they have fun and learn science

Put kids in groups to build Rube Goldberg machines ( I built one in the 8th grade and it was really fun)

I tried the Golderg, but they didn't want to do it after a week because it was too complicated. Any other ideas, plz?
