I know a question a long these lines came up a couple days ago. Regarding having an SAT II language for SFS. Most people seemed to agree it was not necessary, but do you guys know of people who got in without one? Thanks

Sorry, idk...

Yeah, I got into SFS without a language SAT II, but I'm in AP Spanish and I'm taking it in June...so maybe they just assumed I would take it.

They say that you should be proficient in a modern language, so I guess that they would prefer that you have an SAT II in a modern language. There's still the January test date!

I don't think that an SATII or an AP placement is necc. but it can only help. I myself am fluent in both Turkish and Armenian and when I spoke to my rep he said that I was fine and wouldn't put me at a disadvantage because SATII/AP is unavailable in both languages. It may also help to state your language fluency in your special talents/skills section, especially for SFS to which I am also applying.

I believe Georgetown uses the SAT II for placement. If you want it to count, you'd better hurry!
