Some resources for AP Psychology 2013 self-study

This year I plan on self-studying AP Psychology for May 2013. I finished the course content over summer as I am taking quite a few AP courses during the semester and would prefer to get this out of the way.

Here are some of my self-study resources for anyone else taking the AP test. All of these resources are on my server.

Link: Index of ./ap_psychology/

Thus far I have found several practice tests (PDF) and they are in its own directory. As the year progresses I will handwrite notes on particular topics and upload it to the /notes directory. At the moment I have two--motivation theories and psychotherapy.

In my notes I have added references to specific page numbers in each of the textbooks I use for more details on the topic. It may say, for example, ref. Myers 684.

All my notes are written using the following resources:
Myers, David: Psychology, 9th ed.
Wade, Carole: Psychology, 8th ed.
Barron's AP Psychology
5 Steps to a 5: AP Psychology

Good luck to all self-studying psychology and hope you find my resources helpful.

Honestly, AP Psychology is one of the easier tests, I just used PR and I got a 5

Okay. I have PR and I plan on getting Barrons, which is definitely enough to get a 5.

Admittedly I am not the brightest AP student and I feel like I need to work harder than most of you guys to get a 5.

then go for it! it’s good that you know your abilities. I would also suggest some flashcards, I know those work wonders with me. I think Barron’s offers some that are pre-made but you can always buy bank ones and make them yourself.

kiwiasian If your school offers AP Psych, then consult with that teacher and try to get a textbook. That’s what I’m going to do to make things a lot easier.

Uploaded notes on sleep stages

am i the only one having trouble reading them? I have pretty terrible handwriting so its not you, probably my computer

Try viewing the JPG instead of PDF. The JPG is higher res.
