To what extent is it true?

that’s complete bs. If it was so easy to get the 800’s colleges wouldn’t even require the extra effort. measure what score you want by what the college usually accepts with even the most selective colleges being just fine with 750 or higher

Tell them to go jump off bridges…okay don’t do that. Like Grifter said, even the most selective colleges would be fine with 750’s or higher. Heck, I know people with SAT II’s in the lower 600s who go to stanford. I would say 650+ for top 50 and maybe 700+ for top 20 are good :)

So SAT II doesn’t really matter much in the selection process does it? Especially for international students, those maths and science subjects are just a piece of cake for students from other parts of the world, taking much more challenging courses.

If it helps much when getting 800s, I will then study subject tests more assiduously. Since the sample questions that I have seen are very straightforward, getting a 800 by controlling the wrong answers within 4 should not be that hard.

But what I worry about is that, will the Nov SAT II still be accepted for EA/ED.

probably not since the admissions committee will already have seen the rest of your application by that point but if you happen to be at the bottom of the pile form when they received your application it is a good idea to put that your taking the tests on a future date and scores will be sent when available in case they want to take a second look before making a final decision if things are close.

BULL ****!. most “normal-not-■■■■■■■■” kids say 750+ is good as gold. A college will not reject you for 50 points.

Yes they matter. That’s a no brainer. But only an idiot who has no critical thinking skills would say that only 3 800s matters.

most colleges only require two anyway. one would only take three to really showcase an achievement, like language.

yea…its useless…in fact, 800 isnt good enough…u need a 2500000 to even be considered.
