<p>I’m not asking this to sound like some ignorant prick who’s totally clueless about the college admissions process. I know college admission officers admit students who feel stand out and would make an excellent addition to their school but if somebody who currently attends Upenn still has a copy of their admissions essay, I would really appreciate it if they could post it on here so I could get a concrete understanding of what the admission officers expect and to also understand where I stand. Again, I’m only doing this to know where I stand and besides, you don’t have to post your essay if you feel I’m being too personal.</p>

<p>Make your essay personal. It should make the admissions people realize that what you're all about. We already got in.</p>

<p>there's no formula...go buy a book on "essays that made a difference" or something like that and you'll get a feel of what essays CAN be. But there's no right way. If you get the prompt and write multiple drafts with plenty of time, you can come up with something unique and memorable on your own.</p>
