Oh, I love you guys! I really hope we all get in, that's be so awesome.

wow, i know....but as it's a 1/4 chance ED that would be a near miracle.
still, we can hope--that would be incredibly cool. It's great to have these forums....no one I know is applying to Princeton (or even another Ivy League or good LAC, for that matter)...they're all going to U of Ky. W/o CC I really would feel alone in the world ;)

So are all of your friends basically from the college?

i heard 2 years ago it was a 39-40ish% chance ed acceptance rate. it was a record number from az cuz about 15 people from az got in. usually its about 4-5

so maybe this year its another AWESOME ED RATE year :-D whooo

lol i doubt it =/ sorry. But hey, Arizona...wow I'm meeting so many people from around the country! Thanks for bursting my cynical nyc bubble =)

hahahahaha :-D yep yep az is so wonderfully exciting...

its getting cooler tho. it was low 90s today. whooo

oh, no, sorry...yeah that was confusing...I've only been going to U of K. for 1/2 semester and don't live on campus, so I don't know too many people there yet...
My friends are just other hs seniors in town that I've known for a while. They are all going to UK next year, and every time one of them asks me where I'm applying and I say, "Princeton," they either say, "Whoa......." or start laughing. KY isn't exactly an Ivy feeder state, but that will help me more than hurt me.
(I live in the 2nd largest city in the state and only one person that I know has gone to Princeton.)

Is there a list somewhere of Princeton admit rates/enrollment numbers by state? That would be really interesting...

I would like to see that, too. The estimate for this year is 25%, but I'd love to see it even higher. Wouldn't we all?

I thought I saw one somewhere...hmm

Shrek, whoaa i want that. I'm freezing! it's 54 degrees now and we just turned on the heaters.

To answer the original question...

Earliest start is 2006 to take the class up 125. It's predicated on the completed construction of a new residential college. From that point onwards, each entering class will be 125 students larger. Total across 4 classes will be a 500 student increase to total Princeton undergraduate body.

I am actually sad that Princeton is increasing its class size. One of the origional reasons that I liked princeton was because of its size. I am going to be applying in 2006/2007 and am sad that our class will have 250 more students in it. Why are they planning to do this? To get more money? Well maybe I will, at least, be given a better chance at acceptance:-)

Please re-read the post above. Each class, from either 2006 or 2007 onwards, will have 125 more students in it. No class will have 250 or 500 more students in it.

4 classes x 125 students is 500 more in the entire undergraduate body.
