hi this is my first time posting, but i was just wondering. does usc really care about ap scores? and what if i got a c my first semester of junior year in ap physics, would it look really bad when i apply in the fall? oh and what if my gpa my softmore year were both 4.5's but then i suddenly dropped to a 4.0 because of ap physics my junior year, would that look tremendousy bad? i hope someone can answer my questions because i am stressing out here.

I cant imagine that a 4.0 would be bad.. you're fine keep up the hard work

Don't worry about your ap scores for admissions. They are only used for GE or elective credit once you are admitted.

Just a note about your GPA- it's better to quote your UNWEIGHTED GPA here because USC looks at unweighted GPA in conjunction with the classes you took. Quoting weighted GPA is a little deceiving because all high schools calculate it differently and we're not sure what you really have.

Your admission will be based on much than your GPA. If your test scores and ec's are good, one C should still be ok. If you want some more opinions, make your own chances thread and clearly quote your stats. Look for some previous threads so you will know what you should include in order to get lots of opinions.

Sophomore year

to make you feel better...
I got a D+ my Junior year...most important year, right? and alot of B's when I'm usually a straight A student so i thought I was screwed.. but I just didn't make up any lame excuses in my app, and worked my butt off to get straight A's with 6 AP's senior year.. so... shrug it depends. I also had alot of other things going for me (ec's ) so ...

a c NEVER looks good, but it's not the end of the world.
