I talked to a counselor about GPA and he said it really depends. A 3.0 might be all B's or it might be a combination of grades.

I asked because I thought I might get a C (I thought C+ to C- range, but I wound up with a B in economics). He said a situation with a preponderance of A's is preferable to a bunch of B's. He said it's a minor preference, but if it's just a bad subject, it's more understandable and it sticks out a little better that you might not be as good in certain subjects.

You still need to keep your GPA as high as possible. Given that you're already in the seventh semester of high school, there's not much you could change. But your test scores are good and you shouldn't be brushed off right away.

Just because 2/11 kids went to USC does not mean that only 2 were accepted. You need to know how many from your high school applied and were accepted. A scattergram at your high school counselor's office should be able to tell you how your stats compare to those who were accepted last year.
