So I am currently a commuter student at a local state college. The college is the best in the state for my major (computer science), but social life at it and in the area (long island) in general sucks, it's just mostly absent. More is available for resident students, but, first of all, the campus architecture make it feel like a prison, and, secondly, even what's available to residents is a joke compared to what's there in the urban areas.

Background information - I am 19, and will be a sophomore in the upcoming year.

I am seriously considering transferring to a college in another state and in a more urban setting, but then I'll have to pay higher bills that I am not sure financial aid will fully cover. And I don't know where to transfer to, but I've started another thread to find an answer to this one. I am kind of lost in regards to what I should do and where do I start, and how would I handle the costs. Can someone who has experience please help me with some advice? Thanks.
