Someone Please Help Me.

Ok. I got my final report card in the mail today. I got a C+ in Advanced Physics. I am losing my mind. I have never gotten a C in my life and I read that Cornell can recind my acceptance for a drop in performance. I dont want to be recinded or go on academic probation. Is there any suggestions on what to do? Should I write the school? or speak to admissions? Who can I speak with to explain my situation? Someone please help me.

I have A's and B's in all my other classes. They are all Advance and Honors classes. I am really nervous right now.

be calm! you should not be worried at all. one single C+ is not going to cause you any trouble.

also, in general, you will enjoy your time at Cornell more if you are not “losing your mind” about things related to grades. if you were in some trouble, you’d be best equipped to deal with it by keeping perspective on the matter.

Not for one C.

Yes, and this is what you should say: “Dear Cornell University, I recently obtained a C in Advanced Physics. I realize that this is terrible and that it brands me unworthy of a Cornell education. Would you please forgive my unpardonable sin?” Seriously, anything you do is only going to draw attention to a C that they wouldn’t even notice otherwise. Senioritis has been afflicting college-bound seniors for generations and unless your transcript reflects something unrepresentative of the student they admitted (exaggerated example: a string of Ds coming from a 4.0/2400 kid) you’ll be fine.
