Someone please score my SAT practice essay! Please :(

Hi, umm… I am currently doing SAT practice test and there is an essay writing section, but I can’t give a mark for myself so I am writing this here because I want someone to give the mark for my essay.

TOPIC:

Can knowledge be a burden rather than a benefit?

MY ESSAY:

Have you ever seen or met someone who is so genius so that he or she knows too much and her or his brain floods with knowledge? If so, would you say that those genius people are blessed, because they almost know everything?
If I have ever met anyone who is so genius, I would definitely say that those people with genius brains are blessed.

Knowledge can never be a burden. Knowing as many things as one can is a blessed part. People say everything should be moderate and adequate, because too much or too less is never a good thing.
However, the knowledge is a different part. Knowing and learning something excessively has never been a bad thing.
Even though one knows too much, that doesn’t harm that person.

knowledge is a power for every single part of our lives. There may be a few people who have exploding brains with knowledge, however, that isn’t a normal thing to be born with genius brains, so having a genius brain is the thing that everyone envies of. People with genius brain and excessive amount of knowledge in their brain should be thankful for having it because that is what most of people want to have but don’t.
In addition, knowledge can never be out of people’s control, because knowledge comes from humans. Not automatically it comes out of nowhere.

In my opinion, having a knowledge that everyone is eager for is a blessed and lucky part. So I strongly disagree with an idea that state that the knowledge is a burden rather than a benefit. Knowledge is a power in our society and there is nothing harmful or wrong about having an extreme power. Knowledge never harms anyone.

So, this is my essay till here and I will be really thankful if anyone can score my essay frankly. It is my only second attempt on writing an essay so please tell me if there is anything which should be improved or removed from an essay!
The total mark of essay in SAT is 6, so JUST SCORE MY ESSAY OUT OF 6, please.
Thanks in advance  Hope you have an awesome day

There are six general criteria that SAT essay readers take into holistically take into account…

The first is length. The best essays (6’s) generally consist of 350-400 words. This may seem unrealistically difficult, but with fast, consistent handwriting there should be no problem.
The people who grade essays are some of the best English teachers, and they are used to seeing length in high-quality essays. Shorter essays may still have 6’s, but only if their content is able to exceed in the other five criteria.

The second is example choice. Literary, historical, and/or scholarly (scientific) examples are generally the most impressive to these teachers. To use them effectively though, one must memorize a general outline of each example (title/name of event, author/people involved, what occurred, themes).
Personal examples and innovation for more difficult or different prompts is necessary though.

The third is organization. The essay must be able to be read and understood in an organized manner. This means that there must be an introduction, 2-4 (3 is best) body paragraphs, and a conclusion, with each paragraph having logically organized sentences. Each body paragraph should be based on one example.

The fourth is explicitness. The ideas in the essay must be obviously stated, and nothing should be implied or unclear.

The fifth is clarity of logic. The essay’s argument must be logical and easily understood throughout the essay. Ideas demonstrated in the sentences and the paragraphs themselves should transition smoothly, although transitions may sometimes be ignored for the body paragraphs if the introductory paragraph mentions the examples used.
A few grammatical errors are allowed for 6’s, but too many may decrease the score.

The sixth is simply to follow directions. Your thesis should specifically and directly answer in the question posed in the assignment. And of course, do not write off topic (or in another language).

  1. Your essay has 288 words.
  2. There are no actual examples. The evidence for the essay is only philosophical explanation.
  3. The organization of the essay is exceptional.
  4. The essay is very explicit and directly states your ideas.
  5. The logical is clearly understandable, though very repetitive.
  6. You correctly answered the question.

The essay is in the 250-300 word range, which generally means that it is a 3 or 4.

Though you succeeded in organization, explicitness, clarity of logic, and following directions, you did not have any examples. Unfortunately, appropriate example choice is the most important of the six criteria.

The score for this essay would be a 3.

Quotes from an essay grader:
“A “1” was little more than a dribble of ungrammatical English, and a “2” was hardly more than that. A “3” was a well-meaning attempt to cobble three paragraphs together. The problem was in the 4-to-6 range. A “4” is a good piece — crisp, clear, organized.”

“Length doesn’t always mean a better score, but I would advise any kid: Write at least a page and a quarter. Nobody who got one of the top scores wrote one page or less.”

I would give you a 2-3
