Has anyone thought of just calling admissions and asking?

Maybe you should. Just saying.

I would if I lived in the states. Just saying.

i think people have. i forget exactly which threads ive seen people talking about it… but someone called and i believeeeee that the admissions office said that the statuses were more to track the transitions between different adcoms and schools for office use - not necessarily for us. anddd i think if you ask about the waves they will just keep giving you the generic “you will be notified by apr 1” - i doubt we will get any more detail than that since they either a) dont know or b) aren’t allowed to disclose information regarding specific applicants documents… so theyre trying to keep it general. basically we have to be patient for another week :(

feel free to call though, maybe they will give you more info since it is getting so close to apr 1

They have and what is boils down to, is that the status means nothing for us as candidates. It is an internal USC tracking system. It does not always mean the same thing for each person, as it depends on who is reviewing your application and what button they chose to push. USC has stated that the only “status” change that is important to us is the one that will be made by April 1st that says accepted or rejected in the form of a snail mail letter or DHL package.

CaliBoundSB…so sorry, I just read your post and I believe we said the exact same thing. Whoops, I should have read that one first before answering. lol

no worries hahaha we’ve definitely been spending too much time on the USC forum

apparently, the jerks on the phone are hella vague : P
