Can anyone tell me anything that's wrong with Ithaca besides not having air-conditioning in the dorm rooms?

Wow! That's an interesting question. Here's one thing that unnerved me about Ithaca College: they make no attempt to match roommates. At the other schools I applied to (which I admit are quite a bit smaller than IC), students fill out questionaires about themselves so the admissions office can match roommates who will be compatible. My understanding is that IC makes sure they put non-smokers with non-smokers and smokers with smokers, but nothing more. IC students I've talked to, though, seem to think that most roommate pairs end up okay anyway.

(And in terms of the AC, I visited Ithaca in late March and stayed in one of the first-year only dorms. I honestly wasn't even aware that there was no AC; but I didn't spend much time there during the day. I basically just changed clothes and slept there. The weather at IC is pretty cool, though, so I don't know that AC is a particular need.)

Well, there's my two cents. Hope it helps!
