Sometimes, I do silly things...

I just submitted the CommonApp portion of my application without realizing that an essay which I wanted to go in the "additional information" space for Wash U was not on the app. (Because it was written for a supplement for another school that I applied to simultaneously... still silly)

Can I resubmit the app? (I had already paid when I sent in my preapplication form) Or am I totally shafted?

okay....so I submitted more stuff (like slides, an additional rec, I think a short essayish thing (ok, paragraph) about a specific piece of art) after I had submitted my application. (I had applied EA to another school, got waitlisted there, and then decided to submit more stuff to it, and decided in the process to send more stuff to the schools whose deadlines still hadn't passed). So I guess it's sort of the same situation you're in. I think if you mail it to them with a cover letter or something like that, it should get added to your file. Especially since it's still sort of "way before" the deadline (unless you're doing ED, but it's still prolly all right). Hope this makes you feel better. I too have done many many silly things. : )

Just send in the essay with a request to "please include this with the application materials I already sent." I'm sure this happens a lot.

Yeah the admission people are pretty lenient. So don't sweat
