somewhat average student, competative schools

ok so i just found out that my rank has gone up so now i'm in the top 5 percent. hopefully this will help in the long run!

you are def NOT an average student!
your sats and acts and ap scores are great! dont worry about rank too much tho bc you are from such a good school
i think the only thing you need is to show strong leadership...maybe run for office of a club this coming year?

well there ya go!

ohh, it would be great if you could chance me too!

thanks!!

huntsman program is basically a BA in International Studies and a BS in Economics from Wharton. it's super hard to get into and it's awesome and i really want it

i wouldn't say g-town is a 100% in the bag. It really depends..if you are applying to the SFS, you are going against ivy league competition. Huntsman is basically only about being amazing at math and foreign lang...and so far you seem to have that.

Cornell - Low Reach
Huntsman - Mid Reach
Georgetown - Match - Low Reach (If it is SFS)
Michigan State - Safety
Rice - Match

Idk about UT..

Goodluck!!

Can you chance me also? Thanks!

cool, anyone else got ideas?

where should i use my Early Decision? does it really increase your chances of getting in?

///////bbummmppp///

Huntsman actually looks at very, very strong candidates not only in math and languages, but also history. Your credentials look really good and promising. The B's in Precalc will definitely not do you in, ever. You seem to meet what the program looks for in their candidates. And yes, there is no SAT II Hindi, but I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that there is another way to go about those, including Arabic, though I'm not exactly sure of that procedure.

THAT SAID, Huntsman is one of the hardest programs to get into in the entire country. Lower acceptance rate than Harvard and many of the students there right now have turned down HYPSM for the Huntsman program. This means that... you are qualified but kids like you and with higher whatever stats will be applying from all over the world. 45-50 spots with 40% going to international students. You have a shot, but I would say at least <10% for sure. It's nothing against you as a student. To be honest, it's just the nature of the Huntsman program. As for your other schools, I think you have a great shot at all of them and have an above average chance of getting in putting them for RD. ED should go to Huntsman; the officers like that.

competitive* ;P
