lol what makes you average again? your SAT is probs something like 98 percentile of everyone who takes it. GPAs really good.. ranks decent.. lol only bad thing i see is that your east asian?

but i have a major concern about foreign languages

1) i only took latin 1, 2 and 3 in two years of school (because i did 2 over the summer by correspondance at Texas Tech University). will that hurt me?

2) how should i present to colleges the fact that i had hired a professional, private tutor for the Hindi language for 5 years and took the IB exam in it? (IB scores are not sent to colleges until after I graduate)

3) im racially from india but my mother tongue is Marathi, NOT Hindi. how would i present that to colleges so that they don't think that i just studied my parents' langauge?

Huntsman Program at Upenn - 70%

Michigan State - 90%

Cornell - 70%

Rice - 90%

Plan II at UT - 99.99%

I know people will say im being optimistic, but you're a very strong canidate and i think you'll be able to present yourself well.

Lol how could I be sure it's accurate, I just guessed some percentages, but the average admit rate to cornell is like 15-22% I think and you are a very qualified applicant so that is why i put it round 70% for cornell.

The 70% to Penn & Cornell seems a bit high, admittedly...you have great credentials and a solid chance everywhere - but I wouldn't say 70% at Penn.

many schools (like mine) don't even rank, so your rank shouldn't be an issue at all. you definitely have a shot. but nothing is guaranteed.

That's weird that your school only has you take 1 exam junior year. Mine has you do 2 of your SLs junior year and the rest senior year.
Wow, 5 IB exams in one year? Are you taking APs along with that?

yeah it's because at my school all the IB kids also end up doing about 7-10 AP classes each as well and we have these stupid texas state laws that make us take economics and govt and health and speech and PE so we end up not having too much time to take IB exams (that's why we wait until the final year to do most of them)

i did however TECHNICALLY have the choice to take my 3 SLs this year it's just that my schedule worked out this way

oh wow, i thought rank was a huge thing (cuz that's what UT keeps telling me)

Huntsman program is insanely hard to get into, so I would say a <20% shot at huntsman (think you need a language SAT II though...have fun with that)

Rank is important, but you're top 10% so don't freak out! (Isn't that an automatic for Texas state schools?) I think you have a good mix of schools chance-wise. Have your counselor submit a note about the Hindi tutoring/test and how it's not your parent's native language. Otherwise, just show interest in your schools with your interviews and essays.
