Soo... anybody gotten from a D to a B in calc or other class?

I went from a C- in Chem to an A+... so, yeah, it is possible. Just do many, many review problems, see your teacher for extra help, and try to get used to the way that your teacher tests students.

Calc is butchering my senior year.

Time to get a tutor!

So I finally have a tutor. And I talked to my teacher. We have a test this Friday. And we FINALLY figured out what my problem is... I'm dyslexic and don't read directions cause it takes too long. I've gotten by w/o it for so long that I didn't even think of it. Oh well, I hope to get a good grade on my test Friday so I don't have a D on my progress report.

Yeah. I need to do the same for AP Stats. Except my parents are Asian, so I need to raise my B+ to at least an A-. Unfortunately, with my teacher (he's cool, but his tests are crazy), I'm not sure I can do it.

^^ Lol. My parents are white, and don't care. I love the term "Asian Parents" it makes me laugh ^__^.

I was taking pre-cal in the beginning of my junior year, had an F, transferred schools, and got straight A's in Algebra 2 (and I SUCK at math). It helped that we had teachers who tutored in our library during lunch periods. Whenever I had a little problem with something, I would go there for about 5 minutes and get help. If you miss one little thing, it could be harder to learn the rest.

It might be more difficult to raise your grade if it's continuous (not starting over again in the next quarter). I've only raised my grades from D's and F's to B's and A's when I started from scratch in the second quarter of the class, but I'm sure it's possible for you to fix your grade right now. And hey, if you do manage to raise your grade to a B- (or higher?), your teacher could write a recommendation about that. Maybe.

lmfaooooooooo
guinta

yeah same here
ive beeen a math genius since forever
now I have a D due to some stupid things
I want an A- by the time semster grds come around
we have like 3 quizzes left till the first report card

but what can I do to get better? I guess really knowing the hw would help
and tips?

^ Omg another P-Cep kid? We're crawling out of everywhere.

I just went to math lab alot. That's how I'm keeping up. And I went to Mr. Cotner (he started the Calc program there) before the last test and ended up getting an 82 without the curve. It should be like high 80s with the curve. I'm so happy :].

Holy beep. There are way too many of us. Us, RisingStar, and now yet another person. I have a feeling as to who it is...

Who is it?

Woohoo. Update, everyone. I now have a 89.8 in math!!! SO CLOSE TO AN A-!! and this is from a low B a month ago. So, a 6 percent increase. Not bad.

Yeah, I got my grade up to a 90.5% and I think I can maintain that.
